Job Description

The Teller will serve as the primary customer service provider for Colonial customers. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting customers with cashing checks, paying and receiving transactions, and accepting mortgage payments as authorized
• Participating in cross-selling activities with customers
• Paying and receiving all bank customer and mortgage transactions

Responsibilities include:

• Verify identity, signature, and funds within policy guidelines
• Maintain currency and coin supplies and be familiar with security/safety guidelines
• Comply with balancing procedures and policies
• Provide customer service assistance to Colonial customers
• Assist customers in/out of safety deposit boxes
• Assist in cross-selling efforts of the bank
• Process and verify night depository and mail transactions
• Process stop payments, cash advances, changes of address, and other special requests
• Process sales of official checks and money orders
• Perform duties as outlined in the BSA policy (CTR's and monetary instrument logs)
• Perform various duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Previous Teller experience is required
• Intermediate to advanced math skills
• Advanced communication skills, both in-person and on the phone
• Demonstrated proficiency handling and balancing cash
• Proficient computer skills
• 10 key by touch and 25+ WPM
