Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $22.40/hr

General Purpose

The cashier’s main purpose is to efficiently and courteously ring up customers’ goods in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Job Description

• Ensure that customers receive the best customer service by providing friendly, polite, and knowledgeable service
• Greet customers and thank them for shopping at Adams
• Ring out customers
• Count drawer at beginning and end of shift
• Check prices at beginning of shift
• Set up register with bags
• Carefully bag goods for customers
• Clean up around register
• Be familiar with store (location of all departments)
• Be willing to perform extra duties such as stocking shelves, cleaning, etc.
  
  

Physical Requirements

Employees must be physically able to

• Lift approximately 25 lbs.
• Stand in place for long periods of time
  
  

Mental/Reasoning Requirements

Employees must be able to:

• Process media control accurately
• Be polite, courteous & patient with each customer
• Memorize product codes
• Demonstrate basic math skills
• Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers
