Metro Bank in the United States seeks a teller to handle routine transactions and deliver friendly service in a busy branch. You will manage cash drawers, process deposits and withdrawals, verify identities, and assist customers with banking products while upholding security and confidentiality.

The role requires 1–3 years' experience in customer service or banking, a high school diploma, and the ability to work flexible hours.

• 1–3 years customer service, cash handling or banking experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for all teller duties including backup for the North and South Drive-in Facilities.
• Accepts checks for cashing-verifying identity of customer.
• Accepts checks / cash for deposits. Verifies cash and endorsement, makes change, and issues receipts.
• Processes Tax Deposits.
• Receives and processes loan payments.
• Processes credit card cash advancesBalances Cash Drawer.
• Balance and Stock ATM.
• Processes night deposits and mail-in deposits.
• Sells money orders, cashiers, cash advances and other bank related services.
• Responds to customer inquiries as appropriate.
• Maintains proper cash level in drawers, keep cash secure and maintains high level of safety for the Bank.
• Responsible for outgoing mail and postage.
• Performs other tasks requested by supervisor as they relate to the Bank and its functions.

Competencies Required:

• Customer service skills with effective problem solving abilities; ability to maintain composure and convey a positive attitude while interacting with customers as well as staff members.
• Cash handling experience.
• General knowledge of Computer and General Office Equipment. Applicant must have ability to quickly learn banking software.
• Ability to work flexible or extended working hours to meet bank needs; demonstrate good attendance and punctuality.
• Outstanding listening and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn banking products, policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines for compliance issues related to job duties.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Must be able to lift heavy coin – 25 pounds.
• Practices bank security procedures; protects customer confidentiality and privacy.
