Job summary

Flagstar Bank in Rockville Centre, NY is seeking a Teller Float to deliver high-quality client service and process routine financial transactions in line with bank policies. The role may require travel to Financial Centers to assist teller units as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and service clients in a friendly and courteous manner; answer phones and provide account information.
• Process client transactions including cash/check deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and other services.
• Maintain adequate cash supply; manage vault cash and drawer limits.
• Balance cash on hand and reconcile daily totals with records.
• Assist with ATM deposits/withdrawals and deposits to Night Depository as needed.
• Sell/buy foreign currency and assist with other cash-related tasks.
• Participate in ongoing training on compliance and HR requirements.
• Support Private Client Groups as needed.

Job Summary

Teller provides excellent service to clients by assisting them with processing routine financial transactions on a day-to-day basis in accordance with all Bank policy and procedures. Will travel to Financial Centers and lend support to the teller units as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet and service clients in a friendly and courteous manner. Answer phones. Provide account information, answer client questions and direct clients appropriately for further assistance as needed.
• Process client transactions, including but not limited to, cash and check deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, issue official checks and money orders, transfers, general ledger entries, completion of CTRs, etc. accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain an adequate cash supply at all times: buying from & selling to the vault as needed ensuring established drawer limits are not exceeded.
• Balance cash on hand, transactions processed and negotiable items daily and ensure that totals prove to the figures on record in the computer.
• May assist with retrieval and processing of ATM deposits and ATM Settlement.
• May assist with retrieval and processing of deposits made to Night Depository.
• May sell and purchase foreign currency.
• Complete ongoing training as required Compliance, HR, etc.
• Provide support for the Private Client Groups as needed.

Additional Accountabilities

• Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
• Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year previous teller experience (required)
