Under direct supervision, the Teller/Customer Service Representative processes a variety of financial transactions including cashing checks, receiving deposits, distributing withdrawals, processing transfers, accepting loan payments, and preparing change orders. Will also assist customers with opening accounts, processing check orders, issuing debit cards, general maintenance on existing accounts, and other account-related duties as needed.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide excellent customer service, including prompt acknowledgment, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor, and accurately processing transactions.
  2. Process transactions such as checks, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and change orders.
  3. Respond to routine inquiries about bank products and services via in person, phone, or mail.
  4. Offer notary services.
  5. Perform branch opening and closing duties as scheduled, adhering to security protocols.
  6. Maintain and balance cash drawer, receipts, ATM, and assist with vault and system balancing.
  7. Process mail, night-drop, and ATM deposits; scan and upload documents.
  8. Handle coin wrapping, currency verification, and mutilated currency processing.
  9. Open new accounts, cross-sell bank products, explain options, and guide customers accordingly.
  10. Input customer information, prepare documentation, review, and obtain signatures for new accounts.
  11. Maintain and update customer accounts, handle address changes, stop payments, e-statements, and account closures.
  12. Perform miscellaneous duties such as filing, answering phones, and maintaining supplies.
  13. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year retail customer service or banking experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations with a calculator.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and banking systems.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, attentive to detail.
