Premier Credit Union in Des Moines, IA is seeking an entry-level Member Service Representative. You will greet members, process routine transactions, and help customers with inquiries to ensure a welcoming, efficient experience.

No banking experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. The role emphasizes accuracy, product education, and teamwork in a friendly branch setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Process routine financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Greet members and respond to questions professionally.
• Maintain cash drawer accuracy and balance per procedures.
• Educate members and promote credit union products and services.
• Support daily branch operations and maintain a smooth workflow.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure consistent service and positive environment.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to grow skills.
• Assist with other operational tasks as needed.
• Communicate with members via phones, live teller machines, email, text, and secure messaging.

Des Moines Metro Locations | M-F 8:30 am – 5:15 pm | every other Saturday 9am – 12 pm

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Process routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and account inquiries with accuracy and attention to detail
• Greet members and respond to questions or concerns with professionalism and care
• Maintain cash drawer accuracy and follow established procedures for balancing, security, and compliance
• Educate members and promote credit union products and services. Refer members to the right team members or services when additional support is needed
• Support daily branch operations and contribute to a smooth workflow
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure consistent service and a positive, respectful team environment
• Participate in training and development opportunities to grow your skills and career
• Pitch in on other operational tasks as needed
• Communicating with members using service channels including phones, live teller machines, email, text, and secure messaging.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Friendly and professional communication skills
• Tact and composure when working with customers
• Willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment
• Comfortable educating members and promoting products and services
• Comfortable using computers
