Job summary

Southside Bank in Tyler, TX is seeking a non-exempt teller to provide friendly, accurate customer service while processing deposits, withdrawals, cash checks, and change orders at the West Loop In-Store branch.

The role emphasizes accuracy, security, and product knowledge, with opportunities for 401(k) matching, wellness programs, employee assistance, and tuition reimbursement. A high school diploma and cash handling experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or the equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient in typing, 10-key calculator and data entry.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Completion of Southside Bank training: New Employee Orientation, Teller Training, Teller Advanced and Professional Teller

Responsibilities

• Provide teller services including deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks and changing orders with accuracy.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of all sensitive Bank information.
• Recognize cross-sell opportunities and explain key benefits to customers.
• Balance cash drawer daily and adhere to balancing standards.
• Assist customers with inquiries and resolve issues per management guidance.
