Job summary

Heartland Credit Union is seeking a Teller for our brand new Wichita branch at 2191 N. Rock Rd. You will greet customers, handle deposits and withdrawals, and educate members on products while supporting branch operations.

Flexibility to work 36-40 hours with no evenings or Sundays, a strong team environment, and advancement opportunities are offered. Prior cash handling and customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Experience working in a financial institution is helpful but not required.
• Proficient with technology and MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Well organized and attentive to detail
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to move 30 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently.
• Stationary for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers entering the branch, directs them to the correct staff member for assistance and provides assistance with ATM usage, coin counting machine, safety deposit boxes and other branch services.
• Responsible for providing excellent customer service while performing a variety of paying and receiving functions including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances.
• Verifies cash totals and balances each day's transactions.
• Educate members of credit union products and services.
• Balances ATM machines, coin counters, and cash dispensing/recycling machines in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensures members are promptly and professionally served.
• Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
• Provides superior service to our members.
• Proactively support and advance HCU's brand platform.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

WORK DETAILS

Teller position

This person will work from our new branch located at 2191 N. Rock Rd!

Hours

Must be available to work 36-40 hours, from 7:45a.m. - 5:45p.m. Monday - Thursday, 7:45 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. Friday and 8:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. on Saturdays. Will work rotating Saturdays.
