Job summary

ChoiceOne Bank is seeking a Teller to provide world-class customer service by handling transactions accurately and efficiently. You will operate the teller window, balance daily, and process cash and non-cash transactions while maintaining confidentiality.

You will develop relationships with clients and identify opportunities for referrals to bankers. The role requires working with bank policies, assisting with night deposits, ATM balancing, and adhering to federal/state banking regulations.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• 6 months cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in an office environment with extensive computer and telephone usage.

Tellers are the face of ChoiceOne Bank. As a Teller, you will provide world-class customer service by handling transactions accurately and efficiently. Through your daily interactions with customers, you will discover opportunities to help grow ChoiceOne Bank and introduce customers to a banker.Reports To: Assistant Branch Manager and Branch ManagerEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform and follow the Bank’s policies, procedures, and customer service standardsOperate teller window in accordance with bank policy, balancing dailyMeet and exceed teller sale/referral goalsProcess cash and non-cash bank transactions accurately, efficiently, and with confidentialityAcquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking products, financial services, and technologyDevelop relationships with clients and ensure customers’ awareness of services offered. Recognize clients’ needs and make referrals to bankers.Perform other miscellaneous duties, including night deposits, ATM balancing and service, re-ordering and stocking supplies, answering phones, and other duties that may be required from time to time.Be familiar with and comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act as they relate to the functions of this position.
