Job summary

ChoiceOne Bank is seeking a Teller Non-Exempt to join our branch team. You will provide world-class service, handle transactions accurately and maintain confidentiality while building relationships with customers.

You will balance daily transactions, meet referral goals, stay compliant with BSA and Patriot Act, and work with branch staff to support customers with banking products.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year cash handling or teller experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; professional interaction with customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate teller window in accordance with bank policy and balance daily.
• Process cash and non-cash transactions accurately and confidentially.
• Acquire knowledge of banking products and services and refer customers to bankers as appropriate.
• Develop relationships with clients and communicate service opportunities.
• Complete required reports related to banking regulations and act as a liaison with supervisors.

Tellers are the face of ChoiceOne Bank. As a Teller, you will provide world-class customer service by handling transactions accurately and efficiently. Through your daily interactions with customers, you will discover opportunities to help grow ChoiceOne Bank and introduce customers to a banker.Reports To: Assistant Branch Manager and Branch ManagerEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform and follow the Bank’s policies, procedures, and customer service standardsOperate teller window in accordance with bank policy, balancing dailyMeet and exceed teller sale/referral goalsProcess cash and non-cash bank transactions accurately, efficiently, and with confidentialityAcquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking products, financial services, and technologyDevelop relationships with clients and ensure customers’ awareness of services offered. Recognize clients’ needs and make referrals to bankers.Perform other miscellaneous duties, including night deposits, ATM balancing and service, re-ordering and stocking supplies, answering phones, and other duties that may be required from time to time.Be familiar with and comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act as they relate to the functions of this position.
