Job summary

ChoiceOne Bank is seeking a Teller to deliver world-class customer service and handle transactions with accuracy. You will balance the daily cash and introduce customers to bankers when appropriate.

You will learn banking products, stay compliant with regulations, and support branch operations, including night deposits and ATM balancing.

Responsibilities

• Operate teller window per bank policy and balance daily.
• Process cash and non-cash transactions accurately and confidentially.
• Develop relationships and refer customers to bankers as appropriate.

• Support night deposits, ATM balancing and supplies as needed.
• Comply with Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act requirements.

Through your daily interactions with customers, you will discover opportunities to help grow ChoiceOne Bank and introduce customers to a banker.Reports To: Assistant Branch Manager and Branch ManagerEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform and follow the Bank’s policies, procedures, and customer service standardsOperate teller window in accordance with bank policy, balancing dailyMeet and exceed teller sale/referral goalsProcess cash and non-cash bank transactions accurately, efficiently, and with confidentialityAcquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking products, financial services, and technologyDevelop relationships with clients and ensure customers’ awareness of services offered. Recognize clients’ needs and make referrals to bankers.Perform other miscellaneous duties, including night deposits, ATM balancing and service, re-ordering and stocking supplies, answering phones, and other duties that may be required from time to time.Be familiar with and comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act as they relate to the functions of this position.
