GreatAmerica Bank in Hiawatha is hiring a Teller to support daily branch operations and shape the customer experience. You will handle transactions, balance drawers, and follow security procedures with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.

The role requires basic cash handling, customer service background, and the ability to learn banking systems through on-the-job training. On-site schedules and a team-focused environment are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service, retail, or cash-handling experience preferred.
• Prior banking or teller experience helpful but not required.
• Ability to learn banking systems, procedures, and controls through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, check orders, and related services.
• Balance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Follow established cash handling, dual-control, and security procedures.
• Assist with daily opening and closing teller procedures, including securing cash, drawers, and work areas.
• Run daily Branch Capture work, confirm capture completion, and secure work in accordance with bank procedures.
• Assist in processing and balancing ATM and night deposit activity using dual-control procedures.
• Identify and escalate issues to appropriate branch staff.
• Complete required compliance documentation related to teller transactions, including CTRs as needed.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked teller workstation.

Following our recent transition into Banking, we are excited to hire a Teller for GreatAmerica Bank at the Hiawatha location. This role is a unique opportunity to help shape the GreatAmerica customer experience and support daily branch operations.

The Teller is responsible for processing customer transactions, maintaining cash and ATM controls, and completing required daily, weekly, and monthly operational activities. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and security in all teller and branch capture activities while supporting branch operations through reporting, reconciliation, and proper documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, check orders, and related services.
• Balance individual cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Follow established cash handling, dual‑control, and security procedures at all times.
• Assist with daily opening and closing teller procedures, including securing cash, drawers, and work areas.
• Run daily Branch Capture work, confirm capture completion, and secure work in accordance with bank procedures.
• Assist in processing and balancing ATM and night deposit activity using dual‑control procedures.
• Identify and upscale transaction issues, system concerns, or customer questions to appropriate branch staff.
• Complete required compliance documentation related to teller transactions, including internal Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), as needed.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service while maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked teller workstation.

Compliance & Controls

• Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and internal control standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information at all times.

Qualifications
