Purpose: Receive and pay out money and keep records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions.

Work is subject to review and/or audit on a no-notice basis by management, Supervisory Committee, auditors and/or Federal Examiners. The Teller schedule is Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:15pm and Saturday 8:30am - 12:15pm. Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00 plus Bonus. Equal Employment Opportunity/Veterans/Disabled.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform teller duties: receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, examine checks for endorsements, accept loan payments, credit card payments, and process cash advances.
  2. Present a helpful, cheerful, professional image: when assisting members in person or on the telephone.
  3. Provide information to members: about Credit Union products such as money orders, teller checks, ATM and VISA cards, and cross-sell these services.
  4. Provide account information: balances and loan payoff figures.
  5. Process incoming mail and transfers: via telephone.
  6. Balance cash drawer daily: maintain Teller Balance Record per Teller Procedure 3.17 “Teller Cash Over/Short.”
  7. Handle returned checks: collect funds.
  8. Ensure compliance: understand the Bank Secrecy Act and complete currency transaction reports as needed.
  9. Follow established standards: in the Credit Union’s Quality Standards and company policies.
  10. Stay informed: about all services and products, cross-sell when appropriate.
  11. Maintain professional appearance and conduct: follow dress code, code of ethics, and attendance policies.
  12. Complete required training: including in-house and external seminars.
  13. Ensure legal and policy compliance: with Federal and State laws, Credit Union Bylaws, and Policies.
  14. Travel to other branches: as necessary.
  15. Perform other duties: as assigned, including assisting in balancing accounts, training new tellers, completing loan verification reports, imaging checks, and ATM replenishments.
Reports To:

This position reports directly to the Head Teller.
