Description

Position: Teller

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:15 am to 5:15 pm, with rotating Saturdays from 8:15 am to 12:15 pm.

Summary of Duties

Providing accurate and efficient transaction services to customers, controlling and balancing financial instruments, and assisting with overall branch services.

Essential Functions

1. Welcoming customers warmly and professionally.
2. Handling transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, and check verifications.
3. Accepting loan payments, issuing money orders, cashier's checks, and foreign currency.
4. Processing transactions within authorized limits and obtaining supervisor approval when necessary.
5. Utilizing product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
6. Performing additional duties as required.

Requirements

1. Previous teller experience preferred but not required; cash handling or customer service experience is valuable.
2. Proficient computer skills, including keyboard and basic bank system access.
3. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
4. High school diploma or equivalent; a minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must meet physical requirements such as talking, hearing, using hands, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Accommodations may be provided for disabilities. The work environment usually involves moderate noise levels.
