Job summary

Northwell Health's Department of Behavioral Health is seeking board certified or board eligible telepsychiatrists to join our 24/7 telehealth service based in Manhattan, NY. We offer full-time or part-time roles with a state-of-the-art telepsychiatry platform that enables consultations across Adult and Pediatric Emergency and Med/Surg departments.

You will work 12-hour shifts on a schedule designed for balance, with dedicated support from a Behavioral Health Counselor and clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Must be BC/BE and licensed in NYS.
• Superior computer and EHR skills; Emergency Psychiatry experience preferred.
• Must be able to assess ED and CL patients of all ages.
• Part-time overnight position requires 6-shift/month commitment; full-time requires 1/3 weekend/overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide telepsychiatry consultations to adult and pediatric ED and Med/Surg departments.
• Work 12-hour shifts on a 24/7 telehealth service.
• Collaborate with a dedicated Behavioral Health Counselor and staff.
• Academic appointment, teaching, and leadership opportunities.
