Job summary

Northwell Health Department of Behavioral Health is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Telepsychiatrists for full-time or part-time roles at our Midtown Manhattan telehealth service.

Join a 24/7 telepsychiatry team with a dedicated Behavioral Health Counselor and support staff, delivering care to adult and pediatric patients across ED and Med/Surg depts. Academic appointment and teaching opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• BC/BE and NYS license required.
• Superior computer and EHR skills; Emergency Psychiatry experience preferred.
• Must be able to assess ED and CL patients of all ages.
• Part-time overnight requires 6 shifts/month commitment.
• Full-time requires ability to work 1/3 weekend and overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide telepsychiatry consultation for Adult & Pediatric ED and Med/Surg Depts.
• Deliver 24/7 assessment and care decisions with the Telepsychiatrist and Behavioral Health Counselor.
• Contribute to academic activities and teaching opportunities.
