Job summary

Thriveworks is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to serve Chesapeake, VA, with telemedicine and in-person care options. The role requires PMHNP licensure with board certification and a Master's in Nursing with prescriptive authority in Virginia.

Experience in psychiatry is preferred, with a structured ADHD training during onboarding. The position offers a fee-for-service W2 arrangement, with compensation ranging from $65,000 to $94,000 annually based on 15–20 clinical hours

Qualifications

Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner; Board Certification required
Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in the state
Understanding of AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR is a plus
Three years of experience is a plus; 1 year of psychiatry practice is required
Licensed PMHNPs must be licensed and live in the practicing state
All clinicians complete in-house ADHD treatment standards training and certification
No quotas for number of clients or prescriptions while ADHD clinic is in place

Responsibilities

Make psychiatric assessments and evaluations in in-person and telemedicine settings
Willingness to treat clients aged 14 and up
Prescribe medication to reduce mental health symptoms as needed
Create and collaborate on client care plans
Complete and/or administer paperwork and assessment tools
Adhere to Thriveworks Clinical Practice Guidelines
Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients and programs
