Job summary

UF Health in The Villages, FL is seeking a Telephone Operator to monitor all incoming calls via the hospital switchboard, announce Code calls, monitor alarms and CCTV, and assist the Patient Registration Department with clerical duties.

The role requires excellent English, ability to work under stress, flexible hours, and discretion handling confidential information in line with HIPAA. Strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Answering multi phone line or switchboard experience preferred
• Working under stress, dealing with different situation simultaneously

• Discretion is necessary in handling of confidential information to remain in compliance with all HIPAA requirements Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

The Telephone Operator has a large range of duties. These responsibilities include monitoring all incoming calls that come in to the hospital through the switchboard, answering and announcing all Code calls, monitoring alarms and monitoring the CCTV for the hospital and others as required. The PBX Operator assists the Patient Registration Department with clerical duties as needed. All PBX Operators are to abide by the policies and procedures established by the department and hospital at all times.
