Job summary

Trusted Health seeks an experienced travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Kansas. The role requires day shifts, 12-hour shifts, and a 48-hour workweek with frequent weekends.

You may float to Ortho/Neuro/CCU/CDU/SSU/Obs/Rehab units, with a focus on renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology and general med-surg patients. Applicants must hold a Kansas or compact license, be within 50 miles of the facility, and have BLS, ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.

Qualifications

• Telemetry unit experience required.
• Acute care experience with recent within last 12 months preferred.
• Basic proficiency with Meditech is preferred.
• Basic dysrhythmia knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in telemetry, renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology and general medical-surgical units.
• Float to other units as needed per patient care requirements.
• Coordinate with team to ensure safety and patient comfort during travel assignments.

Experience

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.
• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements

• Candidates must have a Kansas license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.
• Driver’s license required

Additional Details

Required Skills/Experience:Basic dysrhythmia is required.

Unit Details:Patient population is primarily renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general medical-surgical.Basic medical-surgical procedures are performed on the unit.Equipment includes EKG, bladder scanner, sit-to-stand device, Hoyer lift, hover mat, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis.

Shift & Scheduling

Flexible contract hours: 48 per week preferred.Works at least every 3rd weekend.

Floating Requirements

Can float to like units (Ortho/Neuro/CCU/CDU/SSU/Obs/Rehab).
