Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Required Skills/Experience: Must have 2-3 years of experience in the specialty. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.
Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Unit Details: Patients include stroke, TIA, seizure, TBI, and mixed medical-telemetry cases. Common titratable or set-rate drips include heparin, amiodarone, Cardizem, and DKA set-rate or protocol drips. The unit uses GE Apex telemetry boxes with central telemetry monitoring. Equipment includes BiPAP, CPAP, and HFNC; no ventilators are used.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirements: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule; day shifts are Saturday/Sunday and night shifts are Friday/Saturday. Schedules are made about 3 weeks in advance; self-scheduling is by seniority, and shift trades are available. Holiday shifts follow the permanent staff rotation. No call or standby requirement.
Floating Requirements: The clinician is first to float to IMCU (2West) or Med/Surg departments.
