Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of coursework and experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred (e.g., transcription coursework or unit clerk classes).

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical, reception, logistical, customer service and sitter duties for assigned patient care service or nursing unit.
• Operate on-line computer terminal to transcribe orders and enter/retrieve patient information.
• Review patient telemetry monitors as required by patient population.
• Assist with unit housekeeping, supply management and equipment maintenance.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, schedule follow-ups and support patient flow.
