Job summary

DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Oakland County is seeking a Telemetry Technician to support continuous ECG rhythm monitoring and maintain telemetry equipment. You will promptly alert nursing staff to rhythm changes and assist with unit clerical tasks as needed.

Under supervision, you will complete a required basic cardiac arrhythmia monitoring program. This PRN role offers exposure to advanced technologies within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of prior job experience with significant computer usage.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Completion of basic cardiac arrhythmia monitoring program may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in continuous monitoring of patient ECG rhythms.
• Maintain monitoring equipment and initiate tracing if rhythm changes.
• Alert nursing staff or repair personnel as needed.
• Under supervision, perform clerical duties and operate on-line computer terminals.
