Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Unit Clerk for the Telemetry unit at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital. You will perform clerical, reception, and patient-care support duties, operate an on-line terminal, and assist with telemetry monitoring and patient information entry.

The role requires a high school diploma and preferred hospital experience, with strong computer skills, medical terminology knowledge, and a customer-service mindset in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Six months of prior job experience where substantial computer usage is significant part of job; OR 3 credit hours of computer classes in computer training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages paper medical record processes and supports discharge workflows.
• Maintains unit supplies and inventory levels; orders stock as needed.
• Operates and monitors telemetry equipment and related systems.
• Greets visitors, orients patients and families; answers calls and assists with tasks.
• Supports EMR/CPOE use and coordinates patient transport and scheduling.
• Records and verifies data; assists with unit clerical duties and meetings.
