Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Preferred background in healthcare with basic nursing or paramedic training.

Responsibilities

• Watch and respond to alarms; verify correct rhythms and artifact; manage EKG monitor alarms.
• Observe all monitors and respond promptly to alarms.
• Perform EKG interpretations including rate, rhythm, PRI, QRS, QT, ST segment.
• Ensure strip interpretations are verified by an RN.
