Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Milwaukee (St. Francis) is seeking a Telemetry Technician for per diem night shifts in Milwaukee, WI. You will monitor patient alarms and EKG rhythms, ensuring timely responses and accurate interpretations to support critical illness recovery patients.

Ideal candidates have an EKG class completion within 30 days and may include LPN/RN students with EKG training. The role offers limited, per diem opportunities with potential for advancement within the hospital system.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date in position and pass other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.
• Preferred background as LPN or RN nursing student with EKG training.

Responsibilities

• You will assume responsibility for continuously watching and ensuring appropriate and timely responses to alarms.
• Continuously observing all monitors assigned and responding to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Completing EKG interpretations including: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, wave form alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensuring strip interpretations are validated by RN.
