Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Milwaukee (West Allis) is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor patient rhythms, respond to alarms, and support post-ICU care in a fast-paced setting. You will interpret EKGs and ensure alarms are managed promptly by the care team.

The role requires completion of an EKG class within 30 days and demonstrated competency in rhythm interpretation, with orientation and ongoing education opportunities provided. Competitive benefits and full-time night shifts available.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Pass required competencies on education platform and pass other tests/competencies as required.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for continuous watching and ensuring timely responses to alarms.
• Verify identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms and artifacts while maintaining EKG monitor alarms.
• Observe all monitors constantly and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Complete EKG interpretations including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QT intervals, ST segment and rhythm interpretations; ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
