Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor patient rhythms, alarms, and EKG interpretations. The role includes cross-training for Unit Secretary duties and completing required EKG training soon after start. The position is per diem with 12-hour day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must complete EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• RN/LPN/Paramedic or nursing student with EKG training preferred; LPNs limited to telemetry tech duties.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms continuously and respond promptly to alarms.
• Verify correct rhythm identifications and interpret EKGs.
• Ensure strip interpretations are RN-validated.
• Cross-train for Unit Secretary duties as needed.
