Northwestern Medicine in Illinois is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor cardiac patients, attach leads, and ensure accurate ECG readings during 8-hour shifts.

Schedule features three 8-hour shifts per week (3p–11:30p) with every other weekend and rotating holidays. You will identify arrhythmias, minimize artifacts, and communicate results to physicians while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• ECG interpretation coursework required.
• CPR – Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsabilités

• Attaches electrode lead lines to proper body areas based on type of test ordered.
• Prepares skin and surroundings to ensure valid results.
• Obtains and documents ECG readings as directed.
• Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
• Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
• Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
• Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
• Maintains ECG equipment and supplies.
