Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms and ensure timely responses; verify rhythm IDs and artifacts; maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond as needed.
• Continuously observe all monitors and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Perform EKG interpretations: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTc, ST segment and rhythm.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
