Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Memphis, TN, seeks a Telemetry Technician to monitor patient alarms, identify rhythms, and support post-ICU care. You will interpret EKGs, maintain alarms, and coordinate with RNs to ensure timely responses in a high-stakes environment.

The role requires completing EKG training within 30 days and may prefer candidates with an LPN/RN background or related experience. Full-time night schedule with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies within 30 days of start date.
• Pass other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.

Responsibilities

• Continuously watching monitors and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Verify identification of basic and lethal rhythms and artifact; maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond to alarms as needed.
• Complete EKG interpretations: rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QT, ST segments, rhythm interpretation.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
