Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to support the Texas Health Southwest facility in Fort Worth. The role is full-time days and involves operating telemetry equipment, documenting patient rhythms, and escalating any rhythm abnormalities to the supervising RN.

H.S. diploma or equivalent is required, with BCLS certification prior to providing independent care and quarterly maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in setting up and using telemetry monitoring equipment.
• Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
• Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm identification.
• Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates actions to provide continuity of care.
• Processes admission and discharge in the system promptly and prepares monitor for next patient admission.
• Notifies the patient’s primary RN promptly of any changes in monitor view.
