Job summary

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to support round-the-clock patient monitoring. You will set up telemetry equipment, track rhythms and rates, and communicate changes to RNs to ensure continuity of care.

This full-time day shift offers a teaching, fast-paced environment with opportunities to grow, with emphasis on accuracy, teamwork, and patient safety.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.
• Basic Understanding/ability to learn medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
• Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
• Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.
• Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.
• Processes admission and discharge or patients in system promptly. Prepares monitor for next patient admission.
• Notifies patient’s primary RN promptly of any changes in patient’s monitor view.
