Job summary

Virtua Health in Camden, NJ seeks a Telemetry Technician to monitor and interpret ECGs under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will communicate changes to the RN and document rhythm interpretations on required forms, while upholding patient safety standards.

Minimum qualification includes a high school diploma; 3–6 months of related experience preferred and completion of the Basic Dysrhythmia course. This is an on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–6 months of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dysrhythmia and heart blocks; SPO2 monitoring and alarm response preferred.
• Strong organizational and interprofessional skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to operate electronic computer-based equipment.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes and interprets ECG monitors and communicates changes to RN.
• Notifies nursing staff of ECG changes or monitor problems.
• Documents rhythm interpretation and calculations on required forms.
• Maintains patient safety principles during monitoring and equipment handling.
• Records data on department forms as needed and supports team learning.
• Assists with orientation, performance improvement, and department competencies.
