Job summary

Ascension is seeking a qualified telemetry monitor for its Elk Grove Village facility. The candidate will perform continuous monitoring of cardiac patients, interpret rhythm patterns, and assist nursing staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification obtained within the first month. Experience in telemetry is preferred.

Facility: Ascension Alexian Brothers

Department: Monitor Room

Schedule: Night shift | PRN | 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Salary: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Conduct continuous telemetry monitoring for patients requiring cardiac observation, ensuring accurate and timely surveillance.

• Analyze and communicate cardiac rhythm patterns, promptly identifying and reporting irregularities.

• Document rhythm changes and elevate significant findings to nursing staff and/or attending physicians for evaluation and interpretation.

• Maintain telemetry equipment functionality and manage related supply inventory.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

What additional requirements you'll need

Minimum one year of experience strongly preferred.
