Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Telemetry Monitor in Pensacola, FL. You will monitor live cardiac patterns on telemetric devices, track changes, and promptly report to nurses and physicians to enable life-saving interventions.

The role requires a HS diploma with 2 years of experience or higher, with BLS preferred and telemetry experience recommended. On-site schedule is days, full-time, 3x12s from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Monitor Room.

Qualifications

• BLS certification preferred or required.
• Telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience preferred.
• Education aligns with role requirements including HS diploma or higher.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live telemetric cardiac patterns and identify real-time changes.
• Record irregular rhythms and ensure high-quality data for clinical team.
• Communicate cardiac changes promptly to nurses and physicians for timely interventions.
• Maintain telemetry equipment and manage supply inventory for readiness.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Monitor live cardiac patterns on telemetric devices to identify and track subtle changes in real-time.
• Track and record irregular rhythms or shifts in heartbeat activity to maintain precise, high-quality data for the clinical team.
• Forward cardiac changes immediately to nurses and attending physicians, ensuring rapid analysis and timely, life-saving interventions.
• Maintain all telemetry monitoring equipment and manage supply inventory so our tracking systems are always fully operational and ready for use.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• Prior telemetry / cardiac monitoring experience.
