Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Canton is a critical illness recovery hospital focused on inpatient post-ICU care for chronically ill patients. Telemetry Technicians play a central role, ensuring timely alarm responses and accurate rhythm interpretation to support patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of start date.
• Pass required tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.
• Strong ability to observe monitors and respond to alarms promptly.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor all assigned monitors and respond to alarms.
• Verify identification of basic and lethal rhythms and artifacts.
• Interpret EKGs including rate, PRI, QRS, QT, and rhythm, with RN validation.
