Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to provide routine direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Qualifications

• Six months of relevant nursing assistant experience.
• Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• Fluent in verbal and written English language and able to develop basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procure equipment during emergencies.
• Support patients in psychiatric settings with orientation, behavior modification, de-escalation, and milieu monitoring.
