SpaceX is seeking a Software Engineer, Telemetry for the Starlink program in Hawthorne, CA. You will design, build, and operate a highly reliable telemetry platform handling petabyte-scale data, ingesting, processing, storing, and querying across the stack with a focus on end-to-end ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, physics, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software experience
• 1+ years of experience in full stack development, software engineering, data engineering, or data science

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate a highly reliable, distributed telemetry platform capable of ingesting, processing, storing, and querying data at petabyte scale
• Collaborate with other engineers on architecture, design, and code reviews
• Partner closely with satellite and rocket teams to understand real mission needs and translate them into elegant technical solutions
• Take full end-to-end ownership of the complete software and hardware stack
• Deep dive into business problems, find efficient solutions and apply first principles thinking
