Job summary

SpaceX, Hawthorne, CA, is seeking software engineers for the Starlink program to design, build, and operate a distributed telemetry platform handling petabyte-scale data. You will collaborate across teams to translate mission needs into robust software solutions and own the full stack from code to deployment.

Preferred candidates have Kubernetes, Linux, CI/CD experience and a strong motivation to solve hard problems for a mission-driven company offering stock, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, physics, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software experience in lieu of a degree.
• 1+ years of experience in full stack development, software engineering, data engineering, or data science

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate a highly reliable distributed telemetry platform for petabyte-scale data.
• Collaborate with engineers on architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Work with satellite and rocket teams to translate mission needs into solutions.
• Own the complete software and hardware stack end-to-end.
• Apply first principles thinking to business problems and optimize solutions.
