Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee in Kankakee, IL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Telemetry Unit. You will deliver safe patient care, perform the nursing process, and support patient/family teaching.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and preferred BSN. Ventilator management and acute-care experience are valued. Signing bonus up to $10,000 is available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) in the Telemetry Unit.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
