Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX, offers a paid RN Residency Program designed to ease the transition from student nurse to Registered Nurse. The program includes hands-on experience, preceptorship, simulations, and mentoring by experienced nurse leaders within a supportive education suite.

The cohort begins Spring 2027 in Med Surg, with assignments and learning experiences aimed at developing clinical and critical thinking skills in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or functions as ordered by the provider; document care.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic response.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, status, plan, meds, and follow-up.
