Job summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding, part of the Dignity Health network, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care. Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nursing required.
  • Current California RN license required.
  • One year of recent hospital experience or equivalent nursing practice required.
  • Basic dysrhythmia class required.
  • Verbal and written communication skills and computer skill required.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA).

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment and follows plan of care.
  • Forms a plan of care for individual patient needs and participates in transition planning.
  • Adapts teaching for patients and families and delivers education during care.
  • Ensures efficiency in care delivery and prioritization of patient needs.
  • Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge and experience.
  • Advocates for patient rights and seeks resolution of conflicts.
