Mercyhealth is seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse for part-time day shifts at Mercyhealth Freeport Hospital in Freeport, IL. The RN will provide safe, organized patient care including assessments, medication administration, care planning, and documentation, collaborating with physicians, families, and the healthcare team to meet patient needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• Licensed as an RN in state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Other unit-specific certifications may be required (ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP).
• Color vision testing may be required per department guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policies and standards.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops and executes patient care plans as prescribed by physicians.
