Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center LTACH in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a part-time Telemetry Registered Nurse for day shifts. The RN will deliver safe patient care, monitor cardiac status, and guide patient and family education in a high-acuity Telemetry unit.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in the patient’s condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
