Job summary

St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic, NJ, is a community-based tertiary medical center offering a wide range of services in a Telemetry Unit.

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, using the nursing process and collaborating with physicians to monitor cardiac status and diagnostic results. Qualified candidates hold an RN license with BLS; ACLS within 30 days, and ventilator management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical RN certification (RN-BC) or equivalent preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in Telemetry Unit.
• Utilize nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physician and team.
• Guide patient/family teaching and coordinate nursing activities.
