Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts in a full-time capacity.

You will deliver safe patient care, using the nursing process and collaborating with physicians, while guiding patient/family teaching and other staff. Requirements include active RN licensure in NJ, BLS, ACLS, and critical care training; one year of acute care experience preferred and CCRN certification considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU.
• Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition.
• Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
