Job summary

Advocate South Suburban Hospital is seeking a part-time registered nurse for telemetry with a 24-hour per week schedule (7p-7a).

The role requires an active RN license in the state, BLS, and typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience; a BSN is preferred.

You will engage in patient care across the continuum, document in the EHR, and support safety and quality initiatives within a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• RN license with active privileges in the state where practice occurs.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required based on unit.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Telemetry/acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely according to protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation and supports interdepartmental communication.
