Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Telemetry unit on a part-time basis for night and weekend shifts. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACLS and PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire for ER.
• Pediatric Emergency requirements include Pediatric Advanced Life Support and TNCC within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care for acutely ill patients using the nursing process.
• Interacts with patient, family and health team members following ANA standards.
• Collects data, plans care, and evaluates outcomes for each patient.
• Directs care and coordinates use of nursing staff involved in direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patients, families and clinicians; documents plan and communications.
• Engages in governance, committee work, and unit projects; supports evidence-based practice.
