Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in Telemetry and the Emergency Department during Night shifts. You will use the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to guide patient care and collaborate with physicians on patient condition changes.

The ideal candidate holds a valid California RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and Basic Arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire; ER

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate and/or ENPC 90 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process in Telemetry and the Emergency Department.
• Direct patient care within the scope of practice and guidance to patient/family teaching.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing care and communication with physicians regarding changes in patient condition.
