Job summary

Adventist Health Simi Valley is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or group under established standards. You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate care with other disciplines, and apply critical thinking and independent judgment in daily patient management at a Telemetry unit.

Requirements include California RN licensure, BSN preferred, and CPR/BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of practice is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required.
• BSN degree preferred; acute care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.
• Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
• Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of the healthcare team.
